The City of Rehoboth Beach offers free recreational programming that brings creativity, activity, camaraderie, and fun to the summer months for residents and visitors of all ages.
In summer 2024, weekly programming includes arts and craft activities for children ages 2-12 at 9 am Mondays and Wednesdays, June 10 through August 21, at Grove Park.
From 6-7 pm Tuesdays, June 11 through August 20, folks of all ages can walk or jog for the health of it with the Grove Walking & Jogging Club.
On Thursdays, special programming for all ages will be offered at 9 am at Grove Park.
- Envirotech will offer hands-on environmental education activities June 27, July 25, and August 15.
- Kite-making, sponsored by Rehoboth Toy & Kite Company, will take place June 20 and August 8.
- Magic Jack will perform July 4, July 18, and August 1.
- Storytime Yoga with local author Hiba Stancofski is scheduled for July 11 and August 22.
At 9 am on select Fridays, artist Stephanie Shuttleworth will offer face painting: June 14, July 5, and August 2. This activity also is at Grove Park.

For free-play time, enjoy the city's playgrounds located at:
- Grove Park at the traffic circle as you enter Rehoboth Beach (tot lot, fitness stations, shuffleboard, pavilions, restrooms)
- Lake Gerar at Lake Avenue between 1st Street and Lakeview Street
- Silver Lake between Stockley Street and Rehoboth Elementary School (Be sure get in some fun turtle watching from the bridge)
In addition, the City of Rehoboth Beach provides two volleyball courts on the beach at Hickman Street. The courts are available free of charge throughout the season on a first-come, first-served basis.
