Parking Department

Services/Responsibilities

The parking department is responsible for the sale of parking permits and enforcement of city parking ordinances in order to help provide a safe environment for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motor vehicles.  In that role, staff members work closely with the police department and Alderman Court.

Due to their visibility and interaction with the public, parking department staff members often serve as informal ambassadors to our visitors and locals alike while performing their duties.
