Bus parking permits are required year-round; there is no fee from September 16-May 14.
Bus parking is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. All bus drivers/companies must contact the parking department at 302-227-6184 or [email protected] to check availability.
Bus parking spaces are not available during major special events such as the Polar Plunge, Independence Day Fireworks, Sea Witch, and Christmas Parade. Bus operators may contact Dart Park and Ride via email or at 302-260-7329 for parking information.
Bus parking permit fees (May 15-Sept. 15)
Two spaces are available in the City Hall east parking lot for bus parking.
- 8 am-midnight - $250
- midnight-8 am - $100
Completed Bus Parking Permit Applications may be scanned and emailed to the parking department.
Loading/unloading
Bus loading and unloading is available only in the City Hall bus parking lot at 229 Rehoboth Avenue. Charter bus loading and unloading at the bandstand, parks, and other public locations is prohibited. To reach the parking lot, follow Convention Center signs along Lake Avenue to turn right onto Third Street. Immediately to the left upon entering the parking lot are two bus parking spaces (if available) to be used for a maximum of 15 minutes at a time for pickup and drop-off.
Buses may not park on the street nor be left running while in the City Hall parking lot. Buses parked on the street or left running will be fined.
