For more than 100 years, the Rehoboth Beach Patrol has safeguarded Rehoboth's two miles of beach and provided services to visitors and residents.
Portable wooden lifeguard stands are positioned along Rehoboth's stretch of beach during the summer season from the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend through three weeks following Labor Day. Lifeguards are on duty from 10 am-5 pm weekdays and 10 am-5:30 pm weekends. Rehoboth Beach Patrol headquarters is located on the boardwalk at Baltimore Avenue.

Beach Wheelchairs
Beach-accessible wheelchairs are available from 10 am-5 pm daily on a first-come, first-served basis during the summer season; reservations are not accepted. Beach wheelchairs are available at the beach shacks at Maryland and Laurel avenues. For more information, call the beach wheelchair supervisor at 302-227-2280.
