Rehoboth PD supports holiday collection efforts to assist those in need

The Rehoboth Beach Police Department is participating in the Cape Henlopen School District’s annual Community Caring Event, which helps support families in need. The police department is accepting donations for the program through December 13.

This year, Community Caring is in particular need of blankets, bath towels, and wrapping paper. Donations of hygiene products, cleaning products, games, books, and other items also are welcome.

In addition, collection boxes for unwrapped toys and books for the Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program are available through December 18 in the police department and City Hall lobbies.

And from 10-11 am Tuesday, December 14, Rehoboth officers will once again don green aprons and serve up coffee and conversation at the Starbucks located at 301 Rehoboth Avenue in the holiday edition of Coffee with a Cop. Toys for Tots donations will be accepted during this event as well.
