The Commissioners of Rehoboth Beach will hold a Virtual Special Meeting** Thursday, March 18, 2021, at 9:00 a.m.

PLEASE NOTE - AS PERMITTED BY GUBERNATORIAL AUTHORITY, IN ORDER TO LIMIT THE RISK OF POTENTIAL COVID-19 EXPOSURE, THE PUBLIC SHALL BE DENIED ENTRY TO THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS SPECIAL MEETING.(1)  THE PUBLIC IS ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS SPECIAL MEETING ELECTRONICALLY.  FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS ARE LISTED AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS AGENDA.

4. The purpose of this Special Meeting is for the:

    A. Potential reconsideration of the April 8, 2021 hearing date for the Rehoboth Spotlight/Clear Space appeals.

        This Special Meeting is called on less than seven days' notice to address a March 15, 2021 request by Appellants for an extension of the hearing and corresponding code mandated brief submissions for the appeals.  Seven days' notice could not be provided because, by code, opening submissions are due on or before March 18, 2021.  If seven days' notice of this meeting were given, the request for extension of the briefing deadlines would be moot.

**The Board of Commissioners is holding this meeting under the authority issued by Governor John C. Carney through Proclamation No. 17-3292.(1)  The meeting wll be conducted using video-conference technology.

The City will stream this meeting using the same technology it uses during its chamber broadcast that can be viewed on the City portal at /Portal/ or YouTube.  This stream will broadcast the meeting, the public will not be able to comment or speak using this broadcast.  The stream will experience a 30-second delay.

The Board of Commissioners meeting materials, including the "packet", are electronically accessible on the City's portal at /Portal/.
