Nighttime Openings of Rehoboth and Lewes Drawbridges for Testing

Delaware Department of Transportation announces to motorists that its contractor is planning to perform nighttime testing of the drawbridges in both Rehoboth Beach and Lewes. 

Testing involves the opening and closing of the bridges. In between the bridge openings, traffic and pedestrians will be able to cross. Testing  is part of DelDot's project to repair and modernize the bridges that began last year.

Rehoboth Drawbridge over Lewes-Rehoboth Canal on Rehoboth Avenue between Canal Street and Atlantic Avenue: Tests are planned to occur from between 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, until 6 am. Wednesday, February 10, pending weather.

Lewes Drawbridge over Lewes-Rehoboth Canal between Savannah Road and Anglers Road, Lewes: Tests are planned to occur from between 8 p.m. Monday, February 8, until 6 a.m Tuesday, February 9, pending weather.
