Traffic Advisory - Rehoboth Beach Hometown Christmas Parade

The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company will be hosting this year’s Rehoboth Beach Hometown Christmas Parade and Cookies with Santa event. This year’s parade will be held on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2019 AT 6:30 pm. Registration forms and additional information are available at www.rehobothbeachfire.com.

Prior to the parade, Rehoboth Avenue from the Traffic Circle to the Bandstand will be closed to traffic from 5:45 p.m. until the conclusion of the parade.  Those wishing to park along the parade route or drop off spectators are urged to be cognizant of this closure. 

There will be areas of restricted parking throughout the city.  Motorist are asked to be alert for and obey NO PARKING signage.  Restricted parking areas will be located along Rehoboth Avenue, Columbia Avenue, Henlopen Avenue, Fifth Street, Third Street, Canal Street, and State Road.  All NO PARKING signage was placed Monday, December 2nd, 2019. 

Any spectators who park their vehicles along the parade route are asked to use patience upon conclusion of the parade.  We are asking that they pay close attention to the directions of officers directing them from the parade and drive at slow speeds in this area saturated with foot traffic.
