Delaware Avenue Stormwater Improvement Project

Work is scheduled to begin in October on the Delaware Avenue Stormwater Improvement Project. This project focuses on improving storm drainage on and under Delaware Avenue and the Boardwalk. The work area encompasses Delaware Avenue from First Street to the Boardwalk and the Boardwalk from Brooklyn Avenue to Wilmington Avenue. Work is anticipated to complete by the end of the year. The contractor for the project is SAK Construction.   
 
During the project, the work area will be closed to traffic Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mail delivery and trash pick-up will not be interrupted during construction. Please be aware of the workers and construction traffic. Daily, there will be a significant amount of truck traffic that will haul materials in and out of the area. Please take every precaution to stay clear. Please follow the posted safety and detour signage.
