Employment Opportunity - Parking Department Administrative Assistant

The City of Rehoboth Beach is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant that would provide support for the Parking Department and assume administrative responsibility in absence of the Parking Department Supervisor.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, receiving and processing daily citation payments, purchases and audits; collecting registered vehicle owner information in preparation for the billing of unpaid citations; responding to inquiries from the public related to the rules and regulations of parking, municipal ordinances and citations; and preparing monthly and annual reports for the parking system, including ticket activity and revenue. The position will require the ability to learn various records systems to assist in parking sales, refunds, citation transactions, and audits.

Minimum Requirements; A high school diploma (or GED equivalent) and up to one (1) year job related course work after high school, at least one to three (1-3) years of related work experience, ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to work hours outside of normal City Hall business hours. This position requires knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office) and the ability to acquire DELJIS Portal Certification

A standard driver’s license is required. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test, a physical examination, and background investigation. Competitive wage and benefit package.
