The City of Rehoboth Beach municipal election was held Saturday, August 10, 2019, and results are in for the two available commissioner seats. Susan Gay and Edward Chrzanowski have won. There were 701 voters in Saturday’s election and 335 absentee voters, bringing a grand total of 1,036 voters in Rehoboth Beach. Mark Betchkal collected 292 votes, Edward Chrzanowski 345 votes, Charles Garlow 252 votes, Susan Gay 607 votes, Gary Glass 328 votes, and Suzanne Goode received 122 votes. Gay and Chrzanowski will be sworn into office on Friday, September 20, 2019, at the regular commissioners meeting before they begin to serve three-year terms.
