The Commissioners Workshop Meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 5, 2019, at 9 a.m. in the City Hall Commissioners Room on the second floor. The meeting agenda includes:
- City Manager’s Report
- City Solicitor’s Report
- Presentation by Jim Smith, Senior Public Affairs Manager of Delmarva Power, pertaining to LED street light conversion for the first and second blocks of Baltimore and Wilmington Avenues.
Old Business
A. Further discussion of Utility Rate Working Group rate proposals.
B. Update on 5-year Capital Improvement Plan City-Wide Street Paving Program.
C. Brief discussion on the proposed Ordinance to amend Chapter 270 - Zoning of the Municipal Code relating to the location, placement, construction and maintenance of tower-based wireless communications facilities, non-tower wireless communications facilities and small wireless communications facilities and regulations related thereto.
New Business
A. Discussion of Senate Bill No. 86 permitting the City of Rehoboth Beach to move forward to impose a hotel lodging tax and implementation of such tax on rooms in a hotel, motel or tourist home located within the boundaries of the City.
B. Discussion of possibly creating a new City committee focused on the natural environment.
