DelDOT Notice of drawbridge work - Rehoboth and Lewes

DelDOT’s contractor, Cianbro Corporation, will be conducting “strain gauge” testing on the drawbridges in Rehoboth and Lewes. This will require the bridges to be raised entirely, checked and lowered. The contractor will raise and lower the bridge for a total of three times for each bridge (approximate time - 5 to 10 minutes). Traffic will be permitted to flow between the openings of the bridges. We do not anticipate any extended delays for motorists. The opening and closing of the Rehoboth drawbridge will occur at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2019. Lewes drawbridge opening and closing will occur at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019.
