Grove Park Closure Jan. 15 - Feb. 2

Due to the ocean outfall project, Grove Park will be closed January 15-31 for force main construction. The contractor’s equipment is accessing Grove Park through Grove Street. The parking lot adjacent to the park will remain open. Due to the type of work being completed, as well as concern for safety, Grove Street will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic from Henlopen Avenue to the Henlopen Acres access gate. The contractor will provide access to local property owners only. All traffic will be maintained around construction zones. The contractor utilizes maintenance of traffic standards established by DelDOT for traffic control, including signage and protective barriers set up to maintain public safety during construction. Traffic impacts will be minimized as much as possible, however, please plan for some delays. The city appreciates your continued patience and cooperation during this project.
