Commissioners Workshop Meeting & Special Budget Meeting Jan. 8

Commissioners will be discussing at their workshop meeting on Monday, January 8, possible charter changes to the policy for replacement of empty commissioner seats, eligibility for voting in city referendums, and term limits for commissioners. Also on the agenda will be a presentation by Captain Kent Buckson of the Rehoboth Beach Patrol regarding an update of the previous summer season and ideas and issues for the commissioners to consider. A special budget meeting is scheduled following the workshop meeting beginning at 1 pm. The commissioners will be discussing Rehoboth Beach visions, goals, and priorities. Public views on these and other ideas will be considered in the 2018/2019 budget. City Manager Sharon Lynn will present a draft budget for 2018/2019.
