Henlopen Avenue Water Main Project Update

Water main work is continuing on Henlopen Avenue between Third Street working towards Gerar Street this week. This section of work is anticipated to take two weeks, and inclement weather may cause delays in the schedule. Crews have had to close the road in this area and access is for local traffic only. Driveway access and on-street parking are restricted in these areas. Detour signage is posted, and city employees will notify property owners as work is nearing their home. The Water Department does not expect any water to be shut off during the new water main installation. However, due to the nature of the work, there may be unexpected situations that need to be dealt with immediately.
