The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) will host a Public Workshop to discuss the proposed rehabilitation of the Rehoboth Avenue Drawbridge carrying SR 1A/Rehoboth Avenue over the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal. The purpose of the workshop is to present details of the anticipated schedule and traffic impacts of the upcoming bridge rehabilitation work on vehicular, pedestrian, and vessel traffic. The work is necessary to extend the service life of the bridge by upgrading and repairing electrical, mechanical, and structural systems on the bridge.
The Public Workshop will be open to the public from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at the Cape Henlopen High School Cafeteria/Atrium located at 1250 Kings Highway in Lewes, DE 19958.
