Lake Avenue Streetscape Improvements Project Update

We are in the homestretch of the Lake Avenue Streetscape Improvements Project. The contractor is replacing and resurfacing the road at Lake Avenue and City Hall Drive working towards Rehoboth Avenue. Half the road will be removed and replaced at a time in order to facilitate traffic. When this portion of the work is completed the next phase of work will continue from Lake Avenue and City Hall Drive working towards Third Street. This work is anticipated to take several weeks. During the road work three tree bumpouts located at 75, 59 and 51 Lake Avenue will be constructed. The city will be planting trees in these bumpouts later this spring. Work for the project will be completed in May 2017. The contractor and the city will work with property owners to access their driveways during this work. Flaggers will be facilitating traffic through the work areas. Traffic delays are expected and work is weather dependent.
