Guarded beach area limited in shoulder season

Due to reduced lifeguard staffing, the Rehoboth Beach Patrol guards a limited area of the beach following Labor Day. Generally, the area from the Henlopen Hotel south to around Laurel Street is guarded. Signs are posted at entrances to unguarded sections of the beach. Rehoboth Beach Patrol will guard sections of the beach through September 24 this year.
