Rehoboth Beach Increases Convention Center and Wedding Permit Rates

The Rehoboth Beach commissioners at a special meeting Friday, March 23, voted to increase the Convention Center fees starting January 2019. The new rate for non-profits is $640 per day during the week and $2,000 per day over the weekend. For-profit organizations will pay $800 a day to rent the Convention Center during the week and a weekend rate of $2,500. Commissioners also increased for 2019 the rental fees in Grove Park and beach wedding permit fees. The beach wedding permit has increased to a $500 reservation fee and a $50 permit fee.

There are new fees effective immediately for bus and parking permits. Fees for two commercial bus parking spaces in the city hall east parking lot require a $250 permit from 8 a.m. to midnight and from midnight to 8 a.m. the cost is $100. Weekly parking permits are $80, three-day weekend permits are $45, weekend daily is $20 and the weekday daily is $15. City of Rehoboth Beach seasonal transferable parking permits, weekday and weekend daily permits, include parking at Deauville Beach. There is no longer a separate parking permit for Deauville Beach.
