Rehoboth Beach awards bid for street paving project

Several roads in the City of Rehoboth Beach are set to be paved next year. The commissioners voted on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, to award the 2019 street paving project to Grassbusters Landscaping, which submitted a bid for $372,596. Other bids received were from George & Lynch, Inc., Jerry’s Paving, Inc., and Sam’s Construction LLC. Roads set to be paved are Park Avenue from Fourth Street to Third Street, Hickman Street from Stockley Street to Scarborough Avenue, Lee Street from State Road to School Lane, Second Street from Lake Avenue to Oak Avenue, Second Street from Oak Avenue to Henlopen Avenue, Second Street from Rehoboth Avenue to Maryland Avenue and School Lane from Old Bay Road to Lee Street. If your street is selected for maintenance, you will be notified by a letter providing the date, duration, and construction activity to be performed, as well as any specific information you might need including roadway parking restrictions or minor access restrictions.
