Henlopen Avenue water shut off Nov. 27

The Water Department is now at the intersection of Henlopen Avenue and Gerar Street. On Wednesday, November 22, they will be cutting the blacktop in the intersection and preparing for work next week. On Monday, November 27, water will be shut off on Henlopen Avenue at approximately 8 am for an estimated two hours. This shut off is necessary for the crew to tie in the lines in the intersection. The road will be closed in the work zone, and access will be for local traffic only. Driveway access and on-street parking will be restricted in these areas. Detour signage will be posted, and city employees will notify property owners as work is nearing your home. All work is weather dependent.
