The City of Rehoboth Beach is pleased to announce that three employees in the Water Department have received Utility Management Certification. Ryan Walsen, David Marvel, and James Kersey were recently recognized for receiving their certification through the Delaware Rural Water Association’s Water University.
Today, the water industry is more complex than ever before. The Utility Management Certification Program is designed to enhance the financial, managerial, and operational effectiveness of water systems across the country and to create a national designation for qualified, utility managers. As the industry changes, there is a strong need to recognize the individuals who provide management leadership to the industry and create a standard for meeting the demands of the future. With this certification, the competency and efficiency of utility managers are enhanced, and of great value to the systems they manage.
