City hires accounting supervisor and billing administrative assistant

The City of Rehoboth Beach recently hired Vicky Hatton as accounting supervisor and Jean Lee as billing administrative assistant effective March 20. Both positions replace employees that are retiring. Hatton comes to the city with a deep background in accounting and business management, most recently a long tenure in the finance department of AstraZeneca. She received her MBA from Wilmington University. In 2014 Hatton relocated from Wilmington to Millsboro with her husband and two children.

A native of Montana, Lee spent 14 years in the U.S. Coast Guard as a boatswain mate. She moved to Delaware in 2015 and worked at Beebe Hospital as a casual administrative assistant. Beginning in the fall of 2016, Lee worked as a temporary receptionist for the city prior to accepting the billing administrative assistant full-time position. This spring Lee will be graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the American Military University.

“Both Vicky and Jean’s familiarity with accounting and passion for public finance will bring quality and capabilities to these positions with the city. I look forward, along with city staff, to working together to improve the financial processes and support the city through this exciting time of growth,” said City Manager Sharon Lynn.
