Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting - General Construction of the North Second Street ADA Improvements Project

Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Rehoboth Beach, 229 Rehoboth Avenue, P.O. Box 1163, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware 19971, until 12:00 p.m. on September 19, 2018, for the general construction of the North 2nd Street ADA Improvements project, at which time the Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud.

Work includes:

Sidewalk improvements and sidewalk ADA access ramp replacement at North 2nd Street and Baltimore Avenue, Northeast corner, extending the full length of property frontage.

• Remove and replace approximately 200 LF of Concrete Curb
• Remove and replace approximately 1500 SF of Concrete Sidewalk
• Remove approximately 350 SF Pavement
• Placement of approximately 15 tons of Crusher Run Aggregate Base
• Placement of approximately 10 tons of Type B Bituminous Concrete
• Placement of approximately 5 tons of Type C Bituminous Concrete
• Additional miscellaneous site work

The Contract Documents may be examined at the following location:  City of Rehoboth Beach, City Hall, 229 Rehoboth Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware 19971.

Hard copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of Beacon Engineering, LLC (BEACON), phone 302-864-8825, upon payment of Sixty-five Dollars ($65) for each non-refundable set. Checks should be made payable to Beacon Engineering, LLC.  Electronic copies are available in PDF format at no charge. Bidders must obtain and review Contract Documents to be eligible to submit a Bid. Electronic copies (PDF) can be requested by emailing [email protected].

The right is reserved, as the interest of the City of Rehoboth Beach may appear, to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in Bids received, and to accept or reject any Items of any Bid as is most advantageous to the City of Rehoboth Beach.

Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check payable to the City of Rehoboth Beach in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total amount of the bid.

Interested Bidders are encouraged to attend a Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting to be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., at City Hall in the Commissioners Room, 229 Rehoboth Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware 19971. Attendance at the Pre-Bid Meeting is mandatory.
