On Wednesday, October 23rd at 1 p.m. the City of Rehoboth Beach and the Mayor’s Advisory Committee on Trees (MACT) will offer a crash course on the art of pruning. Participants will have a hands-on opportunity to prune plants around City Hall and in nearby parks. Proper pruning techniques will be discussed and demonstrated. Pruning is an excellent skill to learn to protect your investment in landscaping. Proper pruning helps maintain health, develop structure, and enhance aesthetics. Participants should dress appropriately, with long pants, closed-toe shoes, protective eyewear and gloves are recommended. There is no charge for this event, but space is limited. Participants must bring their own pruning equipment such as loppers, hand pruners, or pruning saws.
