Blood Bank of Delmarva Blood Drive

The Blood Bank of Delmarva is excited to announce a new partnership with the City of Rehoboth Beach for a May 13 blood drive at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center.

BBD Account Manager Ralph Groves is working with Krys Johnson, the City’s blood drive sponsor, to recruit donors from government, local businesses, and the general public to help ensure the drive will achieve its goal to register 80 donors.

“The need for blood is always there. We all have the potential ability to give this gift and to help save a life,” Johnson said. “Donating blood is such a uniquely personal gift that is both life-saving and life-sustaining. To save a co-worker, friend, neighbor or family member is the ultimate act of paying it forward.” The City of Rehoboth Beach Convention Center is an ideal location for a blood drive that has great potential to make a difference in the community, Johnson said. Rehoboth Beach has many residents who are active in the community and always willing to give back.

The blood drive is Monday, May 13, 2019, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, 229 Rehoboth Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
